Hello All! I just got turned on to Groupon.com….and I like it! Thanks Ally!

    What is Groupon?

Each day, Groupon features an unbeatable deal on the best stuff to do, see, eat, and buy in your city. By promising businesses a minimum number of customers, we get discounts you won’t find anywhere else. We call it “collective buying power!”

The “in your city” is what I really like about Groupon.

Visit the site, and then at the top check the city you are in. As you’ll see below, since I am in Dallas, I see a crazy deal for the day for Dallas:

Today’s deal for Dallas is/was: $99 for Six Laser Hair-Removal Treatments on Two Areas of the Body at Texas Laser Clinic in Frisco (Up to $1,275 Value). That is a pretty good deal even though it doesn’t apply to me.

Too bad I didn’t live in:

Boston: $75 for an Executive Room and Dinner for Two at Radisson Castle Nashua (Up to $243.34 Value)
Orlando: $15 for $30 Worth of Casual Fare at O’Charley’s
Colorado Springs: $25 for $75 Worth of Wine from Wine Insiders’ Online Store
Toronto: $25 for $50 Worth of Elegant Eats and Drinks at Bloom Restaurant

Go check it out now and LEAVE A COMMENT if you score a great deal! The best comment this month will win a special prize!

What: Back to School Supplies delivered to your door

It has to be the biggest beating of all…the school supply aisle at Walmart. You have that faded out list of 100 items that Johnny just has to have or 2nd grade will be a total failure. So, I’m sitting here thinking “How can that process be streamlined?” Then it hit me…what if you didn’t have to go to the store at all. Instead you could find every stinkin’ thing on that list on one DISCOUNT school supply site and have it all shipped FREE right to your door. Sign me up!

Well, since 1985 there has been this company dedicated to the school supply industry. I guess over the last few years they moved it online and now you too can do what I plan to do and bypass the whole chaos and name calling at the local superstore.

From the website: Since 1985 Discount School Supply has been a market leader in the early childhood school supply market. Early childhood educators and parents of young children can choose from thousands of arts and crafts materials, school supplies and educational toys. Other benefits to shoppers include:
    • Free Delivery on in-stock Orders over $79
    • Same Day Shipping
    • 110% Lowest Price Guarantee + Web-only Promotions
    • Free Activities and Grant Information

So, go check it out and you can thank me later!

    Where: Hit! Run! Score!
    What: Football Equipment

With football season quickly approaching, it is time to start outfitting your kiddos with the proper football gear. We like a company called Hit! Run! Score! out of Plano, Texas. Their website is appropriately named: HitRunScore.com and they have a LARGE selection of  “all things sporting goods”. But to be included on OffCost.com you have to know you are getting a deal. Well…how about 50% OFF COST! That’s right, you’ll find deals up to 50% off retail at HRS!

What we like is their nice selection of Youth Football Gear. You’ll find helmets by Schutt, shoulder pads, football uniforms, football pants, and more. Just about anything you need to make sure your kids are outfitted correctly with the best, most protective gear.

Also, we really like their buyers guides. Don’t know what size helmet you need? There’s a guide for that! Don’t know what size pads you need? There’s a guide for that too.

So, check ‘em out and tell them OffCost.com sent you!

I’m starting to really like this “Daily Steals” website. Yeah, it has some stuff you don’t really “need” but the prices are really low its fun to just get on there and buy yourself some presents-by-mail.

Like: A new CD Shower Radio for $12 ( people still buying CDs? ) or a free mold mildew test kit. You can see all the past deals here.

    What: Bing Cashback
    Where: Bing.com

Helpful Links: How Bing Cashback Works, Frequently Asked Questions

Using the website Bing.com is a great way to get discounts on items you are buying. From the Microsoft Bing.com website:

Bing cashback is a great way for you to save money when you shop online at Bing.com. Find great deals on millions of products from hundreds of brand name stores that you know and trust. You’ll earn a percentage of the product price as cashback. The search advertising fees from participating stores are passed on to you. After we wait for potential returns and exchanges, your savings will be rewarded to you by your choice of a deposit to your PayPal account, direct deposit to your bank account, or a check in the mail. It’s that simple.

    How it works:
Go to Bing.com and click Shopping. From there you will see an area with Cash Back offers.

After you click the store you want to visit you are shown a screen like this:

If you have not signed up yet you will be prompted to do so. Then, you will be redirected to the retailer’s website. From there all you do is shop on the site as normal and anything you buy will be credited to your cashback account. You can also link your cashback account to your PayPal
